Who Are These People?

This flag was flown by pacifists at Bennets Road and Route 25A in Setauket, NY on December 11, 2010.
The progressive liberals seem to have little regard for the exceptional country in which we live and prosper.
They appear to believe that war can be avoided and that everyone can live in peace and harmony under the United Nations banner.
Anyone who has seen a bully on the loose in school knows that there is no peace unless that person is restrained or disciplined.
That funky corporate star flag is one of the ones that the liberals own.  They correctly fly the one world flag under the US flag most of the time.

 The other US flag that they bring usually winds up behind a tree.  Notice the rainbow flag in the left of the photo.

The rainbow flag is consigned to the back of the tree when people leave.  Can you see the US flag under the rainbow one?

The photo below is a panoramic shot made from two photos that were stitched together.  The group on the rightis the anti-war pacifist group and the group on the left is the North Country Patriots.
Click on the photo to see the full view.
The conflict between the groups is political.  The Conservative group on the left believes in the nobility of the Constitution and the prosperity generated by the Capitalist system.  The Socialist group on the right promotes ObamaCare, one world government, pacifism and peace above defense.
Pacifism
The 2008 platform of the United States Pacifist Party is printed below.  In order to make it work, there would have to be police or military on every block to make sure that people did what they were told so that all could be equal.

George Orwell described equality in a totalitarian state in his book, Animal Farm.  He said, "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others" in describing living conditions on the farm.

It's a fascinating read and points out the flaws of socialism and communism.  The Socialists with their distorted flag would want to be the animals in charge of the farm.

THE UNITED STATES PACIFIST PARTY
2008 platform (Ver. 021808)

        The United States Pacifist Party (USPP) rejects military force as a means of resolving international disputes. USPP members believe that military force violates the moral principles of the world’s great humanitarian religions and philosophies, and is a “Faustian bargain,” that may achieve short range political objectives, but only at the cost of long-term catastrophe for the human species. They believe that nonviolent resistance, as developed by Mohandas Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jr., and others, and massive economic aid programs to eliminate poverty worldwide, are appropriate and effective ways to resist aggression and tyranny. Major planks of the USPP’s 2008 plafform include:
International Relations
        -Withdrawal of all military forces from Iraq.
        -Preparation for nonviolent resistance against possible invasion and occupation attempts; This would include establishment of a national Department of Peace, and an unarmed service corps trained in strategic nonviolent defense and equipped for mobilization anywhere in the world;
        -Deactivation of all nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons;
      -Elimination of the Strategic Defense initiative;
      -Abolition of all aspects of the Selective Service System;
      -Complete disarmament, through negotiations and unilateral actions;
      -An end to all overt and covert military aid and “intelligence” operations;
      -Repeal of the Patriot Act;
        -Reduction of the military budget toward zero;
      -Immediate termination of all foreign military aid. Humanitarian foreign aid would be directed toward helping the poor meet their basic human needs and become self-sufficient. Aid to foreign governments generally would be contingent upon exemplary human rights records. When serious human rights violations are suspected, any aid given would be distributed by trustworthy agencies;
      -Establishment of a massive economic aid program to abolish poverty, hunger, disease, homelessnesss and ignorance at home and worldwide. The aid would be administered by the United Nations;
      -Normalization of relations with Cuba. Repeal of the Helms-burton Act, that permits lawsuits against individuals and firms who make use of land and facilities in Cuba that were nationalized by the Cuban government;
      -Support for legitimate, nonviolent, social change movements that are struggling to advance human rights and political freedom;
      -Support for one-person-one-vote democratic world government;
The Environment
        -Inauguration of a crash program to stop and reverse global warming. This would emphasize creating a global solar power system that could provide sufficient electrical energy for everyone on earth. It would be based on passive and active solar power generating systems, associated with pumped water, compressed air, and battery storage systems, and, where possible, connected by high voltage, direct current, grids. It would make only limited and tightly controlled use of fossil fueled plants. Nuclear power plants would be shut down, and all nuclear and fusion energy research would be placed under international control. The humanitarian principle of such a system is that all people are entitled to free electrical power sufficient for their needs.
        -Ending of private logging, grazing, and oil drilling on public lands;
      -Special taxes on polluting industries to provide incentives for reducing pollution, and revenue for funding other
environmental protection programs;
Health Care
        Creation of a Canadian-style, single-payer national health care system with universal access, comprehensive coverage, and freedom of choice in the selection of doctors, medical facilities, and methods of treatment;
 Immigration
        Unrestricted immigration. Health and educations needs of immigrants would be paid for from the hundreds of millions of dollars saved by shutting down the military “defense” system;
Domestic Economy
        -Full employment through private enterprises, cooperatives, worker-controlled and managed industries, and federally administered public projects;

        -A guaranteed minimum income for U.S. citizens through the establishment of a negative income tax (A negative income tax gives checks to people whose income lies below the poverty level);
 Civil Liberties and Civil Rights
        -Opposition to all forms of racial, sexual, and religious discrimination, and all unjust socio-economic barriers;
      -Abolition of the death penalty;
      -Ban on the manufacture, sale, and possession of handguns and assault weapons;
      -Support for national and international family planning programs;
      -Support for a Constitutional amendment banning discrimination on the basis of gender or sexual orientation;
      -Opposition to any restrictions on the right to freedom of travel and migration across U.S. borders;
Election Reform
      -Limitation of campaign spending. Establishment of fair and open ballot access laws. Establishment of public campaign financing and provision of equal access to public television and radio for all ballot-certified candidates;
      -Support for the principle of proportional representation in national elections.

Obama Turns His Back On US!

Sent to Obama, Pelosi, Bishop, Reid, Gillibrand, Schumer  May 24, 2010

The May Day parades and the Address to Congress by Mexican President Felipe Calderone was a disgrace.  To make matters beyond worse, the Democrats in Congress applauded Calderone when he attacked Arizona's law.

He, like Holder and Nepolitano, probably didn't read the law.

"We're Watching" Post Card

This 4" x 6" post card was sent to Obama, Pelosi, Bishop, Reid, Gillibrand and Schumer:

The back said:

Quincy, Illinois Tea Party Unease

 May 1, 2010
Letter to Illinois US Congressional Representatives and Senators and Quincy City Officials:

Swat Team Confronts Peaceful Citizens Expressing Their Opinions – Quincy, Illinois, April 29, 2010

    You folks really have to pay closer attention to what’s going on in the United States.

    Calling out the swat team was a bad idea.  They weren’t dealing with a mob as some in Congress have misguidedly stated.  The Tea Party movement isn’t the SDS.  These folks are law-abiding taxpayers who are exercising their First Amendment rights.  They’re veterans, grandparents and younger people who believe in expressing their opinions as guaranteed by the Constitution.

    I’ve been to DC and New York events and haven't seen one unlawful incident.  We’ve expressed our appreciation to the police, followed their directions and thanked them for their protection and service – we even cleaned up after ourselves.

    The City of Quincy, State of Illinois and the Nation have nothing to fear from us — just keep telling the truth and honoring your oath to uphold the Constitution.

Arizona Illegal Immigrant Law

April 28, 2010
Sent to Obama, Pelosi, Bishop, Reid, Schumer, Gillibrand. Holder, Napolitano

The Killing of Robert Krentz and a Responsible Reaction

There comes a time when a man must stand and defend his family, property and way of life.  When the federal government or local law enforcement is unwilling or unable to protect its citizens from invaders and enforce the laws of the land, we citizens are left with few choices – it's either fight or die.

The murder of Arizona rancher, Robert Krentz, on March 27, 2010 by an alleged criminal who crossed an unguarded border from Mexico occurred after ample alarm had been given by the people of Arizona.  His death, which falls under President Obama's watch, seems to have been ignored by the administration – except for criticism against citizens seeking to defend themselves.

It is my opinion that Janet Napolitano and Barack Obama are guilty of neglect.  They are guilty of failing to protect US citizens and visitors from organized criminal activity, foreign gangs, robbery, property destruction, drug smuggling, kidnappings, human trafficking and home invasions from people who illegally crossed the border from Mexico.

We've traveled frequently to Arizona and plan to return in May or June.  We started traveling the United States 11 years ago and haven't felt the threats that the citizens in Arizona have.  Our decision to travel unarmed was made in the confidence of God's protection as told about in the Book of Ezra in the Bible.  The Israelites had to travel approximately 800 miles across hostile territory with close to 30 tons of silver and gold.  Ezra led the people safely without the protection of King Artaxerxes.  The text of Ezra's confidence gave us confidence in God's protection:
Ezra said, " I was ashamed to request of the king an escort of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy on the road, because we had spoken to the king, saying, “The hand of our God is upon all those for good who seek Him, but His power and His wrath are against all those who forsake Him.”    Ezra 8:22

Mexican President Felipe Calderon criticized the Arizona law and charged that it will lead to "intolerance, hate discrimination and abuse in law enforcement."  Mexican lawmakers are calling for economic boycotts against Arizona.  Conspicuously absent is an expression of concern for Mr. Krents's family.  Come to think of it, I haven't read of my president – the one who travels the world apologizing for America – apologizing to the Krentz family for his lapse of security measures that could have prevented Mr. Krentz's assassination

I read the entire Arizona Senate Bill 1070 and am puzzled by the "police state" reaction – the reaction is obviously from people who haven't taken the time to read it.  About 2 pages deal with cooperation with and enforcement of federal laws.  Approximately 3 pages refer to trespassing, smuggling and unlawful stopping of vehicles, unlawful work and illegal transportation of illegal aliens.  Employer regulations cover half the document at 8 pages.  Almost 3 pages cover employment eligibility and vehicle seizure.  These are the same laws that would be applicable in any US state.

I also read Michelle Malkin's, "How Mexico Treats Its Illegal Aliens" at:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/uc/20100428/cm_uc_crmmax/op_1913861
If we subject Mexicans to the same laws that the Mexican government does to its visitors, we'd be accused of being a police state – and rightly so.

Senators John McCain and Jon Kyl asked for 3,000 troops at the border to keep our citizens safe.  I suggest that we transfer the money for the additional17,000 IRS agents – who will police our citizens to comply with the government-mandated health program – to police the border with Mexico.

Our president foolishly jumped into the fray and glibly asserted that a parent and child seeking ice cream could be pounced upon by a zealous police officer demanding to see their papers.  That sounds like the same gut-level reaction that led to the beer summit – another stroke of genius.

Eric Holder calls the Arizona law "an unfortunate one."  He also said, "… I'm very concerned about the wedge that it could draw between communities that law enforcement is supposed to serve and those of us in law enforcement."  Sadly, the thugs who menaced voters in Philadelphia and the union thugs who beat Kenneth Gladney weren't dealt with and are still protected by Holder and Obama.

Rather than criticizing the efforts made by the law-abiding citizens of Arizona, our federal government needs to dig in and clean up the immigration mess and protect Robert Krentz's family and friends.  We don't need the internment camps that Liberals Wilson and Roosevelt inflicted upon our country – we need committed, compassionate and adult wisdom from our elected officials.

Value Added Tax and Imflammatory Speech

April 24, 2010

 Sent to Obama, Pelosi, Bishop, Reid, Schumer, Gillibrand, Holder

Value Added Tax

Halloween images are appropriate for what you're doing to the American public with your unrestrained spending and taxing.  Like the vampire, you seem to be addicted to sucking the blood of our lives through taxes.  Because of you, our children and grand children will be denied the same prosperity that we enjoy.

You've lost touch!  Obama, Reid and Pelosi are millionaires.  Your salaries are way beyond the average American – Obama, $374,460; Reid. $193,400; Pelosi, $223,500; Bishop, Gillibrand and Schumer, $174,000 each.  Your lifetime pensions are more generous than most of the people who pay your salaries.

Now you're floating the idea of a Value Added Tax.  That would be a disaster.
The advertisement below is from Dick's Sporting Goods.

Now that may not be a lot to you fat-cat Washington politicians with your exorbitant salaries, outlandish perquisites and retirement benefits but it sure is a lot to a parent struggling to keep the kids clothed and fed.

I wonder why you would trade the opportunities that we have for the subsistence levels of the socialist countries where the common man is reduced to depending on government handouts.  America was built on and defended free-market principles where a person with an idea and hard work could make a fortune.

Inflammatory Speech

Bertha Lewis, CEO of Acorn – a close ally of candidate Barack Obama – said, at the Winter Conference of the Young Democratic Socialists on March 25, 2010, "We are living in a time which is going to dwarf … the internment during World War II … the era of Jim Crow and segregation … They are coming and they are coming after you and they are going to be brutal and oppressive."  http://biggovernment.com/amarcus/2010/04/22/what-you-need-to-know-about-the-recent-bertha-lewis-acorn-rant/

Maybe you should tell Bertha Lewis that Presidents Wilson and Roosevelt, two Democrats, interned innocent Americans.  Maybe you should tell her that it was Southern Democrats who fought to protect segregation and Jim Crow laws.  Tell her that Senator McCarthy was censured by the Senate in 1954 at the instigation of Republicans, not Democrats.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_McCarthy#Censure_and_the_Watkins_Committee

"President Woodrow Wilson imprisoned over 100,000 Americans during World War I who were deemed political opponents or pacifists."  http://www.americanfreepress.net/html/camps_for_dissidents_190.html

"By presidential directive, 120,000 Japanese residents, 80,000 of whom were American citizens by birth, were taken from their homes, farms and businesses and interned at relocation sites far inland. Roosevelt showed little remorse." http://campaigningforhistory.blogs.nytimes.com/tag/woodrow-wilson/

It seems that your political tribe, from Barack to Bertha with the rest of you in the middle, are pandering to your base and the only reason that I can think of is that you are fearful of Americans who reject the socialist leanings of this administration.  The violent rhetoric comes mainly from the Democratic party and is aimed at its base:

Ø the base that responds to Ron Bloom who said, "We kind of agree with Mao that political power comes largely from the barrel of a gun."; http://freedomeden.blogspot.com/2009/10/ron-bloom-mao-and-free-market-nonsense.html
Ø the base that responds to Barack Obama who said, “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,” ; http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2482761/posts
Ø the base that thrives on violence and beats an honor student to death with a 2x4 on a Chicago street; http://cbs2chicago.com/local/derrion.albert.investigation.2.1212436.html
Ø the base that influences the Justice Department to drop charges against thugs menacing voters in Philadelphia;  http://thebulletin.us/articles/2009/05/29/top_stories/doc4a1f42b32c161287079901.txt
Ø the base that tolerates the beating of Kenneth Gladney by SEIU thugs and the silencing of Gladney's First Amendment Rights.
http://biggovernment.com/jhoft/2009/11/29/gladney-beating-interview-with-harris-himes-the-minister-who-witnessed-seiu-violence/

While "campaign" and "lock and load" may be military terms, they are also political terms that refer to great contests.  That's quite different from the issues above.

It's amusing to hear you people refer to older and peaceful citizens who gather and let their opinions be known as "Astroturf" and "mob".  Where is the respect of the First Amendment and its prohibition of government against limiting speech and freedom of assembly?  Where is the "integrity, civility and fiscal discipline" promised by Nancy Pelosi in her "A New Direction for America"?

If you ask me – and I know that you would rather dwell in an ivory tower where your subjects fawn over you than hear my humble opinions – the taxpaying citizens of these United States don't want the     *     tax burdens that you're foisting upon us.  We don't need or want bigger government to take care of us – maybe those without "skin in the game" want your largess but we don't!

There's time to turn this mess around and I urge you to do so before your goons come for me to drag me to the internment camp – you Democrats have a track record of deceiving and imprisoning innocent people and the American taxpayer is going to continue to search for and reveal the truth.

*(ask Rham or Joe for an appropriate expletive)
