Letters sent to Bishop, Gillibrand, Holder, Obama, Pelosi, Reid and Schumer

February 24, 2010

Extremists

Monday's Wall Street Journal (February 22, 2010) reported on threats made against IRS employees.  The annual figure of about 900 has risen to 1,000 in 2009.

There have been many insane attacks against our society during my lifetime.  The church bombings during the civil rights era, the Weather Underground during the late '60's to mid '70's and Islamic terrorist attacks in the '90's and first decade of the 21st century were organized provocations against our nation.

I recommend that you view the "Free History Project" 2003 documentary about the Weather Underground[1] – perhaps this is what Nancy Pelosi was referring to in her rant against the Tea Party.  Brian Flanagan, an adult businessman in 2003 and a former Weather Underground member, said in the documentary, "If you think that you have the moral high ground, that's a very dangerous position and you can do some very dreadful things."

Bill Ayres, is one of the founders of "one of the most radical political organizations in U.S. history," according to his website [2].    The site contains a cartoon character (Bill Ayres) wearing a shirt with a large star.  The character states, "Even though I worked hard to end the war, I feel to this day that I didn't do enough because the war dragged on for years…" The cartoon, allegedly by Ryan Alexander-Tanner, is presented without comment by Ayres.

The first page of his website [3] contains some interesting images: 1. two red star stickers similar to the Communist symbol [4]; 2. a sticker of the Southern Poverty Law Center; 3. a photograph of the racist and sadist, Che Guevara and another one who looks like Fidel Castro; and, 4. mug shots of Ayres by the Chicago Police Department dated August 27, 1968.  There are 4 snapshots of children, two women and a young man and a central sticker, "ABU-ZAYD" which supposedly means, "Father of Zayd," – Ayres' son, Zayd Dohrn is also the son of Bernadine Dohrn, a former member of the weather underground [5].
Joseph Stack joins the collection of extremists such as George Metesky, Timothy McVeigh and Theodore Kaczynski in their violence against our society, elected officials and government workers.  They are/were the steam in a sealed container that eventually explodes.  They represent, not only the genuinely disaffected insurgents such as Flanagan, Ayres and Dohern, but also the law-abiding, tax paying, respecters of the Constitution who gather on the mall to peacefully present their grievances to government.
