Israel

I cannot understand our government’s positions on the democracies of Honduras or Israel.  The administration’s condemnation of Israel for building housing in its own country is out of line.  It is none of our business.

We are at war with Islamist extremists – not the democracy of Israel.  Israel didn’t attack us and kill our citizens – Islamists did.  In my letter to Prime Minister Netanyahu, I quoted two passages from the Bible (Genesis 12:3 and 27:29) that stated that God will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse her.  I believe that our nation has been prosperous because we’ve followed God’s principles.  I believe that one of our national obligations is to continue to bless Israel.  To do the contrary will lead us to destruction.

I’ve included a copy of the letter that I wrote to Mr. Netanyahu and I urge you to encourage Israel.

Health Care

Do not be misled by reports that tout support for certain provisions of the Senate health care bill.  There are parts that the American public like.  The entire package, however, is as the scourge of leprosy.  If fully enacted, it will lead to the crippling, withering away and decay of the health system and social structure that we have today.  In its place will be a costly and incomprehensible set of regulations that will strangle the productivity of our nation.
Nancy Pelosi’s encouragement to vote for an unseen bill with the joyful expectation of unwrapping it after passing it just doesn’t make sense.  Only a fool would buy a product without fully understanding its promises – its benefits and drawbacks.
The American people want you to start over.  The American people want the transparency and bipartisanship that Candidate Obama promised and for which he was elected.  The American people want the “…integrity, civility and fiscal discipline…” and the use of “…commonsense principles to address the aspirations and fulfill the hopes and dreams of all Americans” promised to the American people by the Nancy Pelosi in A New Direction for America. 
Your political tribe was successful at the last election because you promised change and cleaning of the Washington swamp.  Instead, we’ve seen a rejection of bipartisanship and the dominance of the Chicago style of bribery and muscle.
You have it in your power to amend the mess that you’ve created.  If you carry on as you have to this point, history will record you as a blind follower of a faction that tried to move the country from freedom and prosperity to slavery and poverty – from capitalism to communism.  You will regret following the present destructive course.
